Is the covid vaccine safe for people with thalassemia? they were not included in the clinical trials.

I was told years ago while I was pregnant that I carry the beta thalassemia trait and was told that I had nothing to worry about unless the father was also a carrier. Since he wasn’t I didn’t think much about what being a carrier really means beyond if both parents are carriers that it could effect the baby. Now I’m curious to know if I would be at a higher risk of blood clots if I’m vaccinated? And if I should I be taking iron supplements for mild anemia?
